In 1998, James R. Trevino walked off a job site where he'd spent 12 years swinging a hammer and decided he was ready to run a company of his own. He started JRT Contracting with his brother-in-law, a borrowed flatbed truck, and a handshake contract on a small commercial renovation in the industrial district.
That first job led to a second, then a referral, then a regional reputation for showing up, doing the work, and never making excuses. By 2006 JRT had grown to 30 employees and completed its first project over $1 million.
Today, JRT Contracting is a team of 60+ skilled tradespeople, project managers, and estimators delivering $20M+ in construction annually. We've never taken outside investment, never chased growth for its own sake, and never stopped answering the phone ourselves.
